My problem started about 12 years ago when I tore my meniscus and developed severe arthritis very quickly. I was holding out on a knee replacement, so initially I had to wear a leg brace that literally twisted the bones in my knee to straighten them out! After that painful process wasn’t successful we regretfully decided to get a knee replacement. Everything went completely downhill after that, I had several infections and it was as if everything that could go wrong, did go wrong and 4 revision surgeries later I was worse off than when I began. It has been 2 years since the last time I’ve heard anything about surgery!! Now, I have finally been focusing on losing the 65+ pounds that I was holding onto because I couldn’t exercise. The pain was making my life miserable and if I could just avoid surgery what did I really have to lose?
