My problem started about 12 years ago when I tore my meniscus and developed severe arthritis very quickly. I was holding out on a knee replacement, so initially I had to wear a leg brace that literally twisted the bones in my knee to straighten them out! After that painful process wasn’t successful we regretfully decided to get a knee replacement. Everything went completely downhill after that, I had several infections and it was as if everything that could go wrong, did go wrong and 4 revision surgeries later I was worse off than when I began. My whole body started to hurt and I went through several conventional Physical Therapy programs without any relief.
The last time I saw my doctor he was talking about another surgery and at that point I started searching for therapists that specialize in helping people regain their mobility. It was roughly 6 months after that when I found Jonathan and I noticed a marked improvement in the first few weeks, I’m still amazed at how, in hindsight it seemed so simple. It has been 2 years since the last time I’ve heard anything about surgery!! Now, I have finally been focusing on losing the 65+ pounds that I was holding onto because I couldn’t exercise. I know that losing weight will continue to help all my joints.
My advice to friends and family (even the hard-headed ones) is to talk to someone at RPM and see if they could help you too. The pain was making my life miserable and if I could just avoid surgery what did I really have to lose? Ultimately, I just wanted to be active again and I found that with Jonathan and the team at RPM.Mary Early 60s, Houston
I started exercising again about 3 months ago and my knee kept giving me trouble. After going to see my doctor he recommended physical therapy but I had my doubts after seeing my daughter go through PT in high school.
She was shuttled around to different machines and there were 4-5 people there at the same time so the level of care was bad. I know how to exercise, what I needed was someone to show me how to heal my knee so I could work out like I wanted.
RPM was recommended by my daughter and after the first time I knew it was different because I got one on one time with the therapist and he had me feeling better in days. After completing my program, I can go to the gym and I don’t have to be in pain anymore. I wish I wouldn’t have put this off so long but I am happy with the care I found and happy to recommend them to anyone dealing with chronic injuries.Sherrie Mid 50s, Spring, TX
