The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion – The Woodlands

The Woods Pavilion: A hub of events

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, often known as The Woodlands Pavilion or just The Pavilion, is a performance venue in The Woodlands, Texas, a suburb of Houston. It is accessible for hire and caters to both performing artists and modern artists. The Center for the Performing Arts at The Woodlands, a non-profit organization, owns and operates it. Huntsman secured a five-year deal to be the pavilion’s presenting sponsor in March 2014. The theater has a capacity of 16,500 people and is the world’s second-busiest amphitheater. The arena has a seating capacity of 6,500 covered seats and up to 10,000 grass seats.

Events:

The Houston Symphony, the Houston Grand Opera, the Houston Ballet, and the Cheek to Cheek Tour all perform. Due to a grant funded by several sponsors, lawn seating is usually provided free of charge during these concerts.

Bags and Purse Policy:

  • Clear bags measuring 12″ x 12″ or less are allowed. Handheld clutches that are not clear and are 4.5″ x 6.5″ or less are allowed.
  • A medically necessary bag (sized suitably for the medical needs) or a diaper bag (attended by an infant or toddler) is allowed but will be searched.
  • All abandoned objects and baggage will be promptly taken from the premises, as per standard safety protocol, whether outside the gates or inside the venue.
  • Pavilion Info Booths will not take any bags, purses, or backpacks of any kind.

Outdoor Amphitheater:

The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, routinely named as one of the “Top 10 Outdoor Amphitheaters in the World” by Pollstar magazine, offers a fist-pumping night of live music. Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band, Ozzy Osbourne, Jack Johnson, Alabama, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Kenny Chesney are many past performers. The Houston Symphony, Houston Ballet, Houston Grand Opera, and Texas Music Festival Orchestra will perform here.

Covid 19 Safety:

To attend particular events at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, evidence of a negative COVID-19 PCR/Antigen test result will be requested at the artist’s request. Within 72 hours (3 days) of attending the relevant event, a negative COVID-19 PCR/Antigen test result must be acquired. Guests who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may present proof of full immunization instead of a negative test result.
